One of my favorite things to do with my sister is making home-ade masks. I had received a bouquet of white roses. When I saw the roses getting to their final days I decided I would make the most out of them. So naturally, being a skin-care enthusiast, I decided to make a mask.
Pickoff your rose petals, add a tablespoon of raw honey, put in a few tablespoons of rose water, add some drops of rosehip oil (check out my blog on why you need rosehip oil in your life!) and mix together using a blender or food processor. You want your mask to be a nice thick consistency. I recommend leaving this mask on for a minimum of 20 minutes.
The surge of vitamin C and natural oils found in the rose petals will leave the skin soft, supple, and glowing. This mask is great for reducing redness, fighting acne, and preventing dark circles.
Do you have any DIY mask experiences you would like to share? I would love to hear them!
